CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY IT STANDARDS

 

A Memorandum of Understanding ("MoU") was signed on 29th September 1998 to develop the National Standards for Information Exchange in the Construction Industry.

These standards were developed under the ambit of Construction Industry IT Technical Committee (CITC) - an industry-led committee comprising members from various professional bodies and leading firms in the industry.

  • SS CP 80 : 1999 Classification of construction cost information
  • SS CP 83 : Part 1: 2004 Organisation and naming of CAD layers
  • SS CP 83 : Part 2: 2000 CAD symbols
  • SS CP 83 : Part 3: 2001 Organising and naming of CAD files
  • SS CP 83 : Part 4: 2001 CAD drafting conventions
  • SS CP 83 : Part 5: 2001 Colour and linetype
  • SS CP 93 : 2002 Classification of Construction Resources Information
  • SS CP 97 : Part 1: 2002 Construction Electronic Measurement Standard - Standards Method of Measurement for building works
  • SS CP 97 : Part 2: 2004 Construction Electronic Measurement Standard - Standards Method of Measurement for mechnical and electrical works
  • SS 517 : 2005 Information exchange and documentation at handing/taking over of buildings upon completion
  • SS 527 : 2006 Building Project Documentation Control System
